Aqua Arial View 2
In the Zone.

The City of Kelowna's Official Community Plan recognizes the Cook Road Tourist Commercial Area as the only Tourist Commercial area in the City. We have fully respected the zoning guidelines in terms of allowable density, use and setbacks. Aqua has sought ways to bring something of value to the waterfront.

We are only asking for one variance, height, which will enable Aqua to offer better sight lines through the resort from the surrounding areas and provide visual interest to the current and future city skyline. We will look at 3-D modeling to show how Aqua will affect views from the immediate areas and various vantage points from around the city. Our aim is to ensure the architecture is visually appealing.

Openness to the water, a flowing landscape plan, public spaces, places to sit, to walk, to reflect, to gather and to celebrate are all essential to the Aqua concept. It will be the place to be by the water.

We are reviewing any potential upgrades in infrastructure to make sure there are no compromises to what is a vision with admittedly lofty goals. This is no ordinary location along the water. This will be no ordinary resort.
