Boat Launch Endorsed by City
At the request of the City, we have been working on a redesign of the parking lot at Cook Road and Lakeshore, as well as the boat launch adjacent to Aqua Resort and the Eldorado Hotel. Any of you who have tried to launch a boat there in the busy summer months will know that it can be a difficult task, as traffic movements are not always obvious. As part of Aqua Resort, we have hired consultants to redesign the launch area, in order to ensure a more smooth transition from arrival, to launch, to parking, to pick up and, finally, to departure. We had the improved design physically tested, on site, with the help of Dockside Marine and several above average and oversized truck/boat combinations. We are pleased to report that it works great and allows for more different kinds of boats to use the launch facility. City Staff have endorsed our re-designed boat launch area, which will improve traffic congestion in the area!
